Mission:-
To promote the fullest development of the human potential of every child, to make them aware of their needs, their rights and their opportunities and to put the best interests of children first.
Vision:-
Malaysia's Vision 2020, which sets out the direction for the country’s development
and progress over the next two decades, envisages that "... every child born should be
brought up in a healthy environment, provided with all necessary protection against
diseases, receive proper nurturing, care and affection, receive general and higher education as far as possible, receive appropriate skills in necessary fields, imbued with cultural and human values".
The Government strongly believes that the well-being of children and women are reliable indicators of a healthy society and of good governance. Therefore, the Malaysian Government will continue to promote and facilitate the rights of the child, especially in the areas of protection, development and participation.
In lieu with the Government statement, we will ensure the effectiveness of our efforts in carrying out programmes for our children.
A proper objective for children has also been established to deal with matters related to the development of our children.Objective:-
Children who begin life in the circumstances of abuse and neglect need society’s constant vigilance.
Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Rhema (Rhema Children Welfare Home) was founded because we believe that growing up should not be such a challenge. It will help the children to grow up to become happy, healthy, and successful adults. Our goals support the design of the program which, itself, aims to afford each young person with the greatest opportunities for a successful transition into adulthood. Thus, ensuring safety, permanency, and well being for years to come.
1. Relationships - To support each young person in the development of sustainable, positive, and long-term relationships.
2. Independent Living Skills/Life Skills - To assist each young person in gaining proficiency in core independent living skills/life skills.
3. Community support, networking, collaboration, and interdependence - To assist each young person in learning, navigating, and relying on community resources, their own support networks of people, their own problem solving abilities, and the knowledge of their living environment.
4. Education - To increase the educational attainment of each young person in order to enhance their professional goals, employment opportunity, and self-sufficiency.
5. Employment - To support each young person in garnering a living wage, increasing opportunities for advancement, and developing a career path.
6. Positive Youth Development - To involve each young person in all facets of the development of their futures plan and in the development of Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Rhema (Rhema Children Welfare Home) as an organization.
